You should turn on the Advanced Rules Editor in TM1’s Architect and Perspectives! It makes editing and creating rules so much easier!
How to to Enable the TM1 Advanced Rules Editor
There are a few steps required to turn on the snazzy, colourful TM1 rules editor.
Navigate to C:Users/YourUserName/AppData/Roaming/Applix/TM1. Note that appdata is a hidden folder, so you will need to type “appdata” once you navigate to YourUserName and then continue to navigate to the correct folder). Once you get to the TM1 folder:
- Find and edit the tm1p.ini file
- In tm1p.ini, you should change AdvancedRulesEditor to be “T” rather than “F” and save the file. It should look like this to be enabled:
- AdvancedRulesEditor = T
- Save and close tm1.ini
As this is a client setting, there is no need to restart the TM1 server, just close and open the client again.
