Deleting an existing Planning Analytics database in Planning Analytics as a Service is almost too easy (so be careful). Planning Analytics as a Service resides inside IBM’s Cloud Pak for Data on either AWS or Azure.
How to Delete a Database in Planning Analytics as a Service
Time needed: 2 minutes
Here are the steps to delete a database in Planning Analytics as a Service on either AWS or Azure.
- Login to Planning Analytics as an Administrator
- Select the Administration tile
Click the Administration tile from the PAW homepage.
- Select the Databases tile
Click on the Databases tile from the Administration page
- Select the database to be deleted
That will show all the details of the database you have selected on the right side of the screen.
- Click the Bin
At the top of the database list, click on the bin to delete the database.
- Check the Box and Hit Delete
Put a tick in the box to confirm you want to delete the selected database and then hit the big red Delete button.
- Wait for Confirmation
After the database has been deleted you will get a green confirmation and it will be removed from the database list.
