A Universal Report is a new type of dynamic report that is hierarchy aware. It utilises TM1SET formulas and named ranges to achieve this.
The Prerequisites vary depending on your environment, as explained below.
PA Server Prerequisites for Universal Reports on IBM Cloud
Customers must request that their PA server be upgraded to 2.0.9.18 IF2. This must be done before IBM will upgrade to the latest PASS and PAfE (requirements explained below).
PA Server Prerequisites for Universal Reports on Local
On-premise customers do not need IF2, but will need to upgrade to the latest version. As at 28 September 2023, PA server version of 2.0.9.18.
Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Services (TM1 Web) and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel (PAfE)
In addition to a PA server upgrade, both on-prem and cloud customers will need to upgrade at least version 2.0.90 of Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Services (TM1 Web) and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) to utilise the new reporting capability. Distributed TM1 Environments
If you are using a Distributed Environment, you will need to configure the EvaluationService in TM1 Web for Universal Reports to work correctly.
